About Us

Motta, Yaafar & Díaz is a full-service law firm with a dynamic approach focused on personalized attention to our clients. Our firm is built on the solid professional track record of its partners and lawyers, who have developed their careers at leading firms in the country and in handling highly complex legal matters. This experience allows us to offer the technical rigor, strategic vision and market knowledge expected of top-tier firms, while maintaining the agility, efficiency and closeness of a boutique practice, supporting our clients in their operations and legal matters in Panama.

A Panamanian firm with international reach

Motta, Yaafar & Díaz is a law firm in Panama advising companies, investors and individuals, both Panamanian and foreign. We provide our services in English and Spanish, at our offices in Panama City or remotely.

On the corporate side, we advise on Panama company formation and private interest foundations, as well as international company formation in jurisdictions such as the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Delaware and Florida, and on the ongoing corporate maintenance that follows. We draft, review and negotiate commercial and civil contracts, advise employers on employment matters, and protect our clients' intangible assets through trademark registration and the defense of their intellectual property.

We help those who wish to live, invest or work in Panama obtain their residency, work permits and naturalization through our immigration law practice. In real estate, we advise on purchases, sales, leases and the structuring of property investments, with the due diligence each transaction requires. We also advise seniors and their families on planning and protecting their estates.

Given Panama's position as an international maritime and logistics hub, we advise on vessel and aircraft registration, ship mortgages and contracts in the maritime and aviation sector. In contentious matters, we represent our clients in litigation, arbitration and negotiations.
